'Twas the Week Before Conferences...
'Twas the week before conferences and all through the school,
Not a teacher was sleeping, not keeping her cool.
The papers were being graded, each one with care
In hopes that Spring Break soon would be there.
The teachers were dragging themselves from their beds,
While dreams of sleeping in, danced in their heads.
And when they were working on report cards, each day,
They wished the children would just go outside and play.
Inside of their desks is a hidden secret stash,
Of chocolates and treats they'd eat in a flash.
To help combat the stress, because as you know,
That the pesky to-do list will only continue to grow.
Oh, dear Spring Break, I hope you arrive here real quick.
But please stick around longer than the time of St. Nick.
We got this. Get it done, girl! And let's not lose sight,
Once conferences are over, we can enjoy a good night!
Adorable. I love the way you created your own 'Twas the Night' poem. The chocolate stash is my favorite part. Definitely.
ReplyDeleteI think this is greatness! Nice work!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! And don't we all have that stash of chocolate!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I think most teachers can relate. Enjoy your break - when it gets here!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that conferences are over for another year! Our spring break starts Friday and I am so ready, although then I have to figure out a way to entertain my kid instead of someone elses! What a cute poem!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THIS! It is so cute!
